Objectives: Given 1 verbal prompt, client will verbally respond (with their favorite food); may include increasing musical and/or social engagement

MTS will ask if anyone  has a loose tooth or has lost a tooth lately

-MTS will sing “What I Like about Teeth” to the tune of “What I Like about You”

“What I like about teeth is they help me eat. (*ask clients what they like to eat, insert into the lyrics during next line)

Talkin’ about Pizza, ice cream, nachos, they’re really neat, yeah!

Brush my teeth well every night,

Brush them well, yeah it’s outta sight.

It’s so sweet! That’s what I like about teeth!

What I like about teeth is they are so clean.

Brushing them up down, all around, gargle with Listerine, yeah!

Brush my teeth well every day,

Brush them real good like the dentists say.

It’s so sweet! That’s what I like about teeth!

Brush my tooth and it comes loose,

Tooth fairy visits with money to use.

MTS will make sure each client has a chance to respond with their favorite food/snack

MTS will encourage vocal participation

Experience may be adapted for depending on client’s functioning levels giving client opportunity to strum guitar when prompted
